Council Tax Problem.

A resident Residing in Pilgrims Way has recieved a summons for non payment of Council Tax.
The hearing will be held at 09:30 on Monday 6th February 2012 at Andover Magistrates Court.
The resident in question stated that only one more payment is due ( January 2012 ) and that they cannot understand why they have been summond.
Further that all payment receipts to date can be produced.
The balance owed is £126.79 however Test Valley Borough Council are going to charge a further £25.00 costs, a total of £151.79, this amount still has to be paid wether the balance is paid or not before the hearing.
In my opinion this is a scandalous way for the local authority to treat someone who pays on a regular basis.
