Pilgrims Way Pilot.

To all residents who believe that no one listens to their complaints.

I have been working for many years to improve the estates in which we live.

I have held residents meetings, however most of you don’t appear to be interested, but you still complain that nothing gets done, perhaps if you came to one of the meetings you might just find that they do.

I am a member of Community Pride and have meetings with Aster Communities once a month, where I bring up any issues regarding our neighbourhood. And improvements have been made.

It has taken time but I have now involved our ward Councillors in attending the meetings, the result of this is that there is a possible pilot scheme planned for Pilgrims Way, if it is successful it could affect the whole of Test Vally.

If you diden’t hear the article by Charlotte Bradford from Andoversound, who was at the meeting, March 19th 2012,
The following is her report:-

Pilgrims Way Pilot
” A pilot scheme to improve Pilgrims Way in Andover is planning to make a difference.

A group of people have been working hard to resolve a number of issues reported by residents.

For the first time Test Valley Borough Council, Hampshire County Council, Aster Communities and the Highways Agency have all come together to agree a plan of action.

The aim is to get things fixed on the estate and make it easier for residents to make things happen, if the idea is successful it could be rolled out across the region.

The pilot, which is still in its early stages, was spoken about at a meeting last night.”

NB – So you see things do happen.
