Police Investigate House Fire

Pilgrims_Way_FireDetectives are appealing for information following a fire at a home in Pilgrims Way, Andover.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the address at approximately 3am this morning, Tuesday, January 19, after a smoke alarm was activated. Police were alerted at 4.40am.

Substantial damage has been caused to the property as a result of the fire. All residents were accounted for and uninjured.

Police are investigating the cause of the fire which is being treated as suspicious at this time.

The area is currently cordoned off to allow for forensic examinations.

Anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the area overnight, or has any information about how the fire may have started, is asked to contact CID at Andover police station on 101, or call Crimestoppers, the charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111. Callers from outside Hampshire and the Isle of Wight should dial 0845 045 45 45 45.
